As part of the 2026 Travis Audubon Birdathon, I’ll be heading to the Upper Texas Coast with the Masterful Birders to explore one of North America’s most vibrant birding habitats, where we will count as many birds as we can locate in the area.

But this adventure is about more than just counting how many birds we see.  It’s a living reminder of why conservation matters.

That’s why we’re using our trip as an opportunity to raise funds in support of the Travis Audubon Society and its mission to promote conservation through birding. Every donation, big or small, helps support this work in habitat protection, education, and advocacy,  both now and in the future.
