Come bird the dawn chorus with Andy and Ellen Filtness and Terri Siegenthaler at Commons Ford Ranch Park. Experience grassland, woodland and riparian birds along Lake Austin. We'll walk around and through the prairie, check out the bird blind, stroll the woods, and listen for kingfishers along the lake. Learn about the prairie restoration project and Travis Audubon's programs at this little-known gem of a City of Austin park.
Commons Ford baseball caps will also be available for purchase at the Birdathon to help fund Travis Audubon activities at Commons Ford. Please bring cash or check if you are interested in purchasing a hat.
Birdathon is Travis Audubon’s most entertaining way to engage in our mission to protect native birds! Teams of birders compete to see as many birds during one trip as possible. All registration fees and team donations benefit Travis Audubon. All skill levels are welcome to start a team, join an existing one, or compete as an individual. Anyone can join a team or create their own!
