Little did she know it at the time, but when Shelia Hargis took the Introduction to Birding class through UT Informal Classes in the summer of 1996, it totally changed the course of her life. Life was good, but her love affair with birds that started with that class has made life so much more fun and fulfilling! That love affair is still going strong! Shelia loves sharing her passion for birds with others, loves participating in bird surveys, loves reading about birds, and loves photographing birds. And Shelia loves Travis Audubon! Travis Audubon has provided so many wonderful experiences and opportunities, and Shelia has tried to repay her debt of gratitude by leading field trips, teaching classes, giving presentations, and serving on the Board. She is very excited about the opportunity to help Travis Audubon during these crazy times by participating in the Birding Brawl!
