Greetings, Friends and Family!

Travis Audubon has been my staunch supporter from the very beginning, 18ish years ago. The big news of 2021! Now TAS is Birdability's Fiscal Sponsor! 

It is hard to believe but last year at this time, the Birdability map had just emerged! We now have over 500 sites pinned nationwide, 35 Birdability Captains, representing 18 states, and 4 countries: US, South Africa, Argentina and Canada!

But now back to Travis Audubon's Birdathon business! Once again, I am birding on my own from dawn to dusk, in five or six or seven different accessible Austin-area parks, with the hopes of finding 70 bird species. I plan on visiting Champions Park, Mills Pond, Berry Springs, Riata Pond, Lake Creek Trail, Judith's Lake, LBJ Wildflower Center, Richard Moya, Northwest Park, Hornsby, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Windermere Park, Tanglewood Park, and/or others! Okay, I MAY not get to all of those sites! We will see. I know I am leaving you on the edge of your seat!

Birdathon is Travis Audubon’s most entertaining way to engage in our mission to protect native birds! Teams of birders compete to see as many birds during one trip as possible. All registration fees and team donations benefit Travis Audubon. All skill levels are welcome to start a team, join an existing one, or compete as an individual.
