Carol Ray and Steve Hannington will be birding on Twin Creeks golf course on Monday May 3, looking for spring migrants like warblers, tanagers and painted buntings, including maybe getting a look at Golden Cheek Warblers. There's a variety of habitat including woodlands, creeks, and ponds. Come join us, socially distanced, for a new birding location and support Travis Audubon! Twin Creeks is located near Cedar Park High School. We'll start at 6:30am and should finish by 10:30am. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water and snacks; no restrooms on the course. Suggested donation $25.
Birdathon is Travis Audubon’s most entertaining way to engage in our mission to protect native birds! Teams of birders compete to see as many birds during one trip as possible. All registration fees and team donations benefit Travis Audubon. All skill levels are welcome to start a team, join an existing one, or compete as an individual.
