Join Anne and John Donovan for a morning of birding on their private ranch! 7 Oaks Ranch is 165 acres of hilly oak and juniper woodland, interspersed with grassland, and bordered on one side by the Lampasas River. You can expect to see most of the Texas Hill Country native birds, with some of Anne and John's favorites being White-eyed Vireo, Black-chinned Hummingbird, Summer Tanager, Purple Martin and other swallows, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Bewick's and Carolina Wrens, Field, Chipping, Lark, Rufous-crowned, Lincoln's, aand White-crowned Sparrows, and Woodhouse's Scrub Jay. We almost always see one Golden-cheeked Warbler, but always hope for two or three. We will have a homemade soup and sandwich lunch. For anyone who needs to limit their walking, there are numerous bird feeders around the house. Often these folks see birds that the walkers miss!

This team will bird on April 4, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 7 Oaks Ranch is located an hour's drive from Central Austin, north on 183, near the small town of Briggs. Registration for this team is $35 and is limited to 12 birders.
