Join us in championing our Master Birders as they embark on an exciting quest to surpass their previous record of 121 species during their exhilarating spring journey to High Island on the Upper Texas Coast! This year, they're setting their sights even higher, aiming to add an unprecedented number of birds to their list in this much-anticipated event.
The big count day will be on April 13th, where our skilled birders will explore the renowned birding hotspots of High Island and Bolivar Peninsula. Their expertise and keen eyes will be put to the test as they navigate these rich ecosystems, known for their remarkable avian diversity. The adventure continues on April 14th with a leisurely exploration of the serene Sabine Woods and the expansive Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, promising to be equally rewarding.
Your support is crucial! Please rally behind our Master Birders, and contribute to our cause. Your donations empower us to continue our vital conservation efforts, promote birding education, and foster a community of passionate bird enthusiasts. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal and helps protect the birds we love and the habitats they depend on.
Birdathon is Travis Audubon’s most entertaining way to engage in our mission to protect native birds! Teams of birders compete to see as many birds during one trip as possible. All registration fees and team donations benefit Travis Audubon. All skill levels are welcome to join a trip, start a team, or compete as an individual.
