We are excited to announce that Travis Audubon will be hosting another BIPOC Bird Walk

Travis Audubon’s BIPOC Bird Walks intentionally welcome Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to build community and connection through enjoying birds and birding. These walks are intended to be safe, welcoming, and affirming spaces where BIPOC individuals can enjoy the beauty of birding and nature together.

We invite anyone who identifies as BIPOC and who supports our values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to join us. Friends, family, and allies are welcome to attend as space allows.

Binos provided upon request.

No prior birding experience or knowledge is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore the natural world with others. Walks will be led by experienced and supportive birders, and are open to all ages. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or trusted adult.

Together, we’ll learn about the birds of Central Texas while enjoying time outdoors in community with one another. We’re excited to offer these walks as a way to make birding more accessible, joyful, and reflective of the rich diversity of people who love nature.

For the safety of wildlife and the quality of the experience, dogs (other than service animals) are not permitted on field trips or bird walks. We appreciate your understanding.
