Flock Party Friday at Brushy Creek Lake Park
Description
It's Birdathon, and what better place to grow your life list than at Brushy Creek Lake Park? This park, located on a section of the Brushy Creek Regional trail, has a 38-acre lake and has had at least 182 species reported through eBird.
During this Flock Party Friday, you'll be guided to some of the best birding spots in the park. We will be walking on mix of surfaces that include concrete, dirt, and crushed granite. The terrain is mostly flat.
Please meet at the picnic tables and bathrooms near the Brushy Creek Splash Pad at 8am. We'll have a Travis Audubon table set up near the parking lot if you'd like to chat with Travis Audubon staff or purchase some Bird of the Year merchandise. From there, the group will go on a bird walk led by our wonderful volunteers Sara Schubert and Shelly Riley.
